Terms & Conditions

Last updated 3 September 2026. Questions about anything on this page? Call (717) 400-8504.

These terms govern your use of yorkeandsonsdumpsterrental.com and, where applicable, the supply of roll-off container rental and waste transport services by Yorke & Sons Dumpster Rental York. By using this website or booking a container with us, you agree to them. Nothing here is intended to limit any rights you have under Pennsylvania or federal consumer law.

About us

Yorke & Sons Dumpster Rental York, 430 Loucks Rd, York, PA 17404, (717) 400-8504, info@yorkeandsonsdumpsterrental.com. We are a locally owned roll-off container rental and waste transport business operating in York and the surrounding counties.

Website content

We publish sizing guidance, disposal information and local permit information in good faith and we take care to keep it accurate. Regulations, municipal permit requirements, permit fees, facility hours and disposal rules change, sometimes at short notice. Information on this site is general guidance, not legal or regulatory advice, and you should confirm anything that matters for your project directly with the relevant authority — for example the City of York, Pennsylvania or PA DEP — Recycling in Pennsylvania. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance; a booking is formed when we confirm it with you directly.

Quotes and pricing

We quote a flat rate that includes delivery, an agreed rental period, a stated tonnage allowance and collection, based on the information you give us about the debris, the volume and the site. A quote assumes that information is accurate. Where the actual load exceeds the agreed tonnage allowance, contains material we cannot legally accept, or the site cannot be accessed as described, additional charges may apply and we will tell you about them. Quotes are valid for the period stated at the time of quoting.

Delivery, placement and access

  • You are responsible for ensuring safe, legal and unobstructed access for a roll-off truck — in practice about 60 feet of clear space to work in, roughly 25 feet of overhead clearance, and a flat hard surface such as a driveway for the container to sit on — and for confirming that the proposed placement is permitted at your property.
  • You are responsible for obtaining any municipal permit required for placement on a public street, sidewalk or other public right-of-way, and for any homeowners association or landlord approval — in Pennsylvania, every one of York County's 72 municipalities permits its own streets directly (there is no county-level right-of-way office), and a placement on a state-numbered route needs a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit as well. In York that is generally the City of York Bureau of Permits and Inspections; confirm the current fee and process with whichever office applies directly.
  • You must identify underground utilities, irrigation systems, septic components, private drains and any surface you do not want loaded before delivery.
  • We place protective boards under containers as standard. Even so, any hard surface can be marked by the weight of a loaded container or a delivery vehicle. By directing placement on a driveway, apron, lawn or other private surface you accept the risk of surface wear, marking or damage that is not caused by our negligence.

Use of the container

  • Load level with the top rail. We cannot legally transport an overfilled or heaped container and a wasted trip may be chargeable.
  • Do not exceed the agreed weight allowance. Overage is charged per ton at the rate advised.
  • Do not place prohibited material in the container. This includes, without limitation, liquid paint, fuels, oils, chemicals and solvents, asbestos-containing material, lead-acid and other batteries, tires, televisions, computer monitors and other electronics, appliances containing refrigerant that has not been evacuated, medical waste and any hazardous waste. Yard waste is carried only in a container booked for that purpose, and a yard waste container must not contain treated or pressure-treated wood, plastic planters, fertilizers or chemicals, or bagged household trash. Where prohibited material is found you are responsible for the cost of its removal, handling and lawful disposal, and for any fine or penalty passed on to us.
  • The container remains our property. Do not move it, modify it, paint it, or allow anyone else to use it.
  • You are responsible for the container and its contents while it is at your site, including securing it and keeping the area safe.

Rental period, extensions and collection

The rental period is agreed at booking and is typically 3 to 7 days. Contact us to arrange an extension before the period ends; extension days are charged at the rate advised. Collection is scheduled when you call to say you are finished, or at the end of the agreed period. We need the same access on collection as on delivery; if the container is blocked, obstructed by vehicles, or cannot be safely lifted, a return trip may be chargeable.

Cancellation

Let us know as early as you can. Cancellations made before a truck is dispatched are not normally charged. Once a container has been loaded for delivery or delivered, a trip charge may apply.

Liability

We carry the licenses and insurance required to operate in Pennsylvania and certificates are available on request. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the supply of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including loss of profit, loss of contract or project delay. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

The content, layout, photographs and code of this website are owned by or licensed to Yorke & Sons Dumpster Rental York and may not be copied, scraped or republished without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them will be resolved exclusively in the courts of York County, Pennsylvania, without limiting your ability to bring a claim in your local jurisdiction where consumer law gives you that right.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
